While dinner parties can be serious, brunch is a chance to have some fun, be creative, and enjoy yourself!
We love hosting brunches because it is quite easy to stay within budget. There is no need to splurge on fancy baked goods, homemade muffins or waffles are fine! Or go family-style with a brunch potluck and ask each of your guests to bring their favorite baked goods or breakfast dish.
As with any event, you’ll want to give your invitees enough time to add the party to their calendar. If you can, invite them a couple of weeks in advance, and request an RSVP. Having a headcount helps make sure you don’t run out of food or (please, never) coffee.
Picking a Party Theme
Unlike a more elaborate event like a birthday or dinner party, you do not need to stick to a theme when planning a brunch—unless you want to!
If you are searching for a theme to bring all the elements of your brunch together, use the food itself as the theme. Serving waffles? Set up a waffle bar with all the fixings and toppings.
